what makes the ocean blue when the water is clear?

This week I am telling you about what makes the ocean blue when the water is clear?. The ocean is blue because of the way that it hits sunlight. I thought the water was blue because of the water and salt reflecting of the blue sky.

When sunlight hits the ocean the water strongly absorbs long. Wavelengths colours at the red end of the light area, as well as short-wavelengths light including violet and ultraviolet. The remaining light that we see is mostly made up of blue wavelengths.

So if you were ever wondering what makes the ocean blue when the water is clear?, that is the answer.
