Dear Diary...
I have been training and waiting for a whole year for this Christmas and I had so much excitement to

start the night off. As I went to more and more houses I started to notice that no one was giving me and my reindeer friends carrots. I started feeling sad and hungry. My body starts feeling exhausted. But I still had hope that maybe one family, just one family hasn't forgotten about us reindeer. But still, no one was giving us anything. Santa saw that there was a strange looking place called Mc Donalds. Santa had hope that that place would have some treats for us. So he headed down to see. As he came out we noticed that he was holding a bag full of packets. I had hope that it was for us. I was full of joy. Yes, it was for us. After eating those delicious treats I had to finish the hard night ahead of us.

Dear Mr and Mrs Claus

I wish for something that will help a lot of kids throughout the world. I wish for a lot of food and
medicine for the kids in the world whose family can't afford to pay for the most important stuff to keep them alive. I wish also for them to all have nice new clothes and shoes so they can feel happy and have the energy to keep alive. I have seen this on a bunch of adds all over TV about the kids who are dying without food.

My new future ice cream

My Ice cream is called The Popping Peach And Mango Express.
This ice cream has a peach and mango flavor with a surprising pop from the popping candy. It is a peach colour with a yummy and crunchy cone to finish off the ice cream.

Swimming Safety

Safety tips

• Put sunscreen on no matter the weather.
  
• Stay out of rips in the ocean.
• Don't go out to deep.
• Make sure you are not the only one at the beach to go swimming in case something bad happens.
• If there are flags on the beach swim between them.

My favorite place to go is to the beach because I love bodyboarding on the big strong waves.

My best memory at the beach is going to Whitianga with Elizabeth and we went out quite deep and we were both scaring each other. 

What If...

                               What if kids had tails...

If kids had tails they would probably use them to hit the siblings with it instead of there hands. We would also have a game to do with using our tails. We would have to have special clothing so we can keep comfy with our tails not being in the way.
What if leaves were fish...
If leaves were fish the whole world would stink. There would be less oxygen in the world. If leaves were fish there would be no dolphins or sharks e.g.

                                               

What if toes were teeth...

If toes were teeth we would have to eat mashed up food like baby food. We would have to brush our teeth way more than we do now. If toes were teeth it would be easy to get an infection.

Spring Rolls

INGREDIENTS

Ingredients

• Glass noodles
  100 g
• 
  Carrot
  2 each, roughly grated
• White cabbage
  200 g, finely grated
• Beansprout
  200 g
• Garlic
  2 cloves, finely chopped
• Sesame oil
  30 ml
• Soy sauce
  To taste
• Spring roll pastry
  20 sheets
• Oil for frying
  As needed

The reason why I love Spring Rolls is that they have so much flavor and they are usually bite size and easy to hold.

Salmon with Hot Chips and Salad

INGREDIENTS

As the whole dish.

Salmon                                                   Coleslaw

Hot Chips                                               Potato Salad

For Potato salad

Boil peeled potatoes in salted water until done. Cool to room temperature.

Place diced potatoes in large bowl.

Mix mayonnaise, cider vinegar, sugar, mustard, salt, garlic powder, and pepper in another bowl.

Add to potatoes.

Add celery and onions and mix well.

Stir in eggs.

Sprinkle a little paprika on top

Why I love this main

I love this Main because Salmon is my favorite seafood. I always have this dish at Whitianga at the Fishing Club as I am a member. At the club, you also get to choose your own salads and I love to get Potato salad and Coleslaw.

Chocolate mousse cake and cream with raspberry

CAKE

• 1 3/4 cups King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour or Gluten-Free Measure for Measure Flour
• 2 teaspoons baking soda
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 2 cups granulated sugar
• 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, natural or Dutch-process cocoa
• 1/2 cup vegetable oil
• 1 cup buttermilk or yogurt (Greek or regular; nonfat, low fat, or full fat)
• 1 cup boiling water
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 3 large eggs

FILLING

• 2 tablespoons soft butter
• 8-ounce package cream cheese, at room temperature
• 1 cup confectioners' sugar, divided
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1/8 teaspoon salt
• 2/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips, melted
• 1 cup heavy cream
• 1 teaspoon Instant ClearJel, optional*
• 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate mini chips, optional
• 1 1/2 to 2 pints fresh raspberries, washed and dried

FROSTING

• 1/2 cup vegetable shortening, butter-flavored preferred*
• 8 tablespoons (1/2 cup) unsalted butter, at room temperature
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 4 cups confectioners' sugar, sifted
• 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa, natural or Dutch-process*
• 1/4 cup milk
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

• The reason why I love this dessert is that the creaminess of the chocolate mousse is so nice and tasty. It melts in your mouth like candy floss. The raspberry are divine.

Christmas Shopping

Silver-dale Has Cancelled Their End Of Year Prize Giving

Positives

The positive are that there is no chance for the same students to get the same award every year and that know one has to worry about jealousy and stuff like that.

Negatives

I think it is a silly idea cancelling prize-giving. As I am a kid I love having the joy of winning a certificate of prize for my learning. Also the kids at this school won't have as much motivation to do there learning.

Career Quiz

Artist

I would love to do this as a free time job. I have loved doing art my whole life as my nana has inspired me in how amazing her art is. Some things I would do in art is painting, Sketching and I would love to make my own worldwide popular coloring-in book.

Veterinarian
This would be a cool job as I love animals. This would be a handing job to have as if I am not interested when I am older I might have learned lots about animals so if I owned my own farm I would know more things about how to take care of my sick animals.

Photographer

Ever since I got my iPad I have loved taking photos. I love watching a you-tube called Jordan Matter who is a famous dancer photographer. I also would love to take professional photos cattle at the shows as each photo was taken is worth $100. I would have to learn how to edit and to get the right angle of the animal.

Athletics Reflection

This Monday was Athletics. I came with a goal to try my best and to try to make it into HP Athletics.

My main events that I was focusing too do well in were High Jump, Long Jump and Discuss. My first event was High Jump. I really wanted to do well. We started at 90cm. We went up to 101cm until we got called to go to 100m sprints. I knew I wasn't the fastest but I had to try my best. I ended up coming 5th but I am happy I wasn't last. 

After I finished that I had a quick drink and then went back to High Jump. I ended up going up to 113cm and I am really proud of that because last year I went up to 109 so I bet my last years record. After I finished that I went to Long Jump. When I went up to my third jump I jump my best jump I had ever but it ended up being a No Jump. 

After Long Jump it was shot put. I didn't do aswell as I wanted to. After that it was 200m. I ended up betting a person that bet me in 100m which I am really happy about. 

Yesterday I also did discuss and I haddened practiced that for a whole year but I ended up coming first.

History of Milking Shorthorns

One of the oldest reconized breeds are Milking Shorthorns. They are oringinaly from Northeastem England. Shorthorns were also New Zealands first breed of dairy cows. The first importaion of Shorthorns were to the United States in 1783. Shorthorns are one of the least popular breeds in New Zealand as they don't produse as much milk as other breeds.
