The Day I was able to do a backbend

I looked around and made sure know one was in my way. I lifted my arms up high and started to go back. My fingers started to touch the ground, soon my hand touched.

“I did a backbend”

I shouted.

They all said

“Yay”

After all that excitement I kept on doing backbends and now I can do them!

Now that I can do a backbend my next goals will be to do the slits a back walkover and a roundoff.

Smokey Bday

It was one kitty's special day, because it was Smokey's birthday! After 8

years of not knowing when it was her birthday was, we finally had help from Smokey's handy old pet passport. On the first page it said...

Name:Smokey

Birth Date:15.05.2008

That how I found out it was Smokey’s 9th Birthday, but then I felt sad because Smokey is becoming a old cat and she is almost and decade! I thought she was only turning 7. After all that crazy stuff had happened I went to get Smokey's present out of the car and it was quite big.

When I got to the front door with the present it was really hard to get through the door, but after a while I finally got in and the brang the present in my room and waited for Smokey to come in and see what it was. When a hour passed by she finally came in, but when she walked in she just looked at it and then hopped on my bed and meowed at me! When I got quite impatient I picked her up and then put her in front of it to see if she would scratch on it. Since she didn’t scratch on it I put her in this little space where she could sit and sleep in but when I put her in she jumped right out!

Since she didn’t want to go in it I just decide to let her have a look at it by herself so I did.

Scientific Method-Balloon Magic

	What will happen to the balloon? What will the reaction be?
	It will explode The balloon will inflate because of trapped air It will go up like a rocket
	Materials: -Balloon -Baking Soda -Vinegar -Plastic Bottle -Funnel -Spoon FIrst use the funnel to add the baking soda to the balloon. Then put the vinegar in the bottle. Carefully put the balloon over the top of the bottle. Once you are ready lift the balloon upwards tipping the baking soda into the vinegar and watch what happens.
	When we added the baking soda into the vinegar, it made the balloon inflate.
	The balloon inflated when we added the baking soda because the carbon dioxide (CO2) created from the vinegar (an acid) and the baking soda (a base) was trapped, so it went up and the balloon inflated. Therefore our hypothesis was correct in thinking that the balloon would inflate.

The Weekend

When I woke up on Saturday morning I jumped straight out of bed because and had some yummy cereal with yogurt and milk and then I got changed into some comfortable running clothes because I had trials for REP Netball. After I got changed I filled up my water bottle and after I finished getting ready I decided to practice doing my shooting so I would be ready for shooting when I am doing trials.

When I arrived at the Ngatea courts I stayed in the car for a little bit because I was a bit early and then when everybody come to the court I came out. When some of my friend arrived I ask them if they wanted to do some shooting and the said yes so we did some shooting. When it was about 10:00 the year 6, 7’s and I did some training and played some active game’s so we would be wormed up and ready for trials.

Before we played we got our bibs and I was playing GS. When I got the ball I was in a perfect place to go for a shot so I went for the shot and I got it in! After about 5-10minutes my trials were over and I ended out getting three goals!

After trials I went to Summer’s house because my parents were in a meeting in Auckland. When I was at summers we did some colouring in competition for What Now. When we finished colouring in we played a bit of badminton and we also played with my frisby.

After getting out and about we played the Game Of Life a couple of time and I won every time! When the clock hit 6, it was time for dinner and we had yummy roast chicken and salad.

The next day my mum picked me up at 12:00 because we were going to Whitianga to tidy our batch. When Mum came In asked her if Summer could come and she said yes and I was really happy. When we were in Tairua we stopped at a bakery and I got a ice cream and a pie.

After we had lunch we hopped in the car and headed of to Whitianga. When we got there Summer and I started to clean the windows and when I cleaned one window I had to jump on the bed because it was so high up.

When we finished the windows I asked Mum if Summer and I could walk down to the beach and we were allowed! On our way to the beach we were using time lapse on our iPods because we wanted to video in fast mode of our journey to the beach and on the beach.

When we got up to this big stream we tried to look for fish and I saw a little flower and I really wanted it but it was really really hard to find and catch. When we came back it was half past five so we headed to the fishing club for dinner and there was all these trays of yummy food and I filled up my plate with food. When we were full of food we headed home and I was really tired but I didn’t go to sleep. When we were at Summers we droped her of and then headed home because it was quite late.

I had a really fun time this weekend!

In the start of the holidays I went to the Easter show in Auckland to show my calves. On Thursday I showed my shorthorn calf and she one me a champion ribbon. Because she got champion I had to take her into the suprime ring on Friday. When I went into the ring I saw that I was versing against a shorthorn cow and the shorthorn cow came suprime. When the man was getting his ribbon the judge came up to me with a microphone and he asked me lots of questions about my calf and I had to speak into the microphone and I found it quite scary. After going into the ring, I went around the show with Summer and her family. When when went around the show Summer and I spotted a really cool ride that was like a rocket ride. When I was on the ride I was singing the rocket ship song. The next ride I went of was the Ghost train and when we were inside it we started glowing on our t-shirts and it looked really funny and at the end we randomly got squirted with water and then we started laughing. The next ride we went on was called the fun factory and it was basicly a house filled with obsticals. The next ride we went on was another rocket ride but it spin around in stead. I had a really fun day and I can’t wait for next year.
